HALFDAYTOUR

One of our most popular tours for those who want a longer tour is the halfdaytour. The experience takes a total of 3 hours, with 2 hours of actual dogsledding. The tour goes on a technically easy track in Skurdalen, with fantastic views towards Hallingskarvet, among others.
During the trip, you have a break with a hot drink and a snack that the guide brings with you. The experience is what we call "harness on to harness off". Here we show how to put on the harness and pawbooties, snack the dogs, you are shown how to drive a sled and much more.

FULLDAYTOUR
​​
Fulldaytour is perfect for those who are used to outdoor life in winter and active people who want to experience the true sleddog life. We do not have many full-day trips set up, please contact us if you would like a date.
The full-day tour takes between 5-6 hours and you will take part in a training session that is similar to what a long-distance team does several days a week to prepare for races like the Femundløpet and the Finnmarksløpet.
You are involved from harness on to harness off, pack the sleds for the trip, learn how to drive the sled, participate in the routine of snacking the dogs. About halfway through the trip, there is a lunch that the guide has prepared.

Price: NOK 3,000 for adults aged 12 and over, NOK 2,500 for children aged 3-11. 0-2 years free.
We do not recommend young children to join the tour, the half-day tour is more suitable for children.

FULL DAY TRIP WITH PETTER
Do you want more time with the dogs and see a real husky kennel?

Try a full day trip from Petter's Husky farm in Skurdalen - 30 min drive from Geilo. Here you will get to know his huskylife from the inside and have a beautiful trip in his "backyard".
​
Petter has been dogsledding for 40 years, and has a lot to teach you about huskies and dogsledding.

Full day trips with Petter are available from December to March / April and are safer for bad weather conditions than the full day trip in the Hardangervidda.
